Currently we are adding a new floor above the scenery section. This will increase the shop space by 40%.
Allowing us to display more products downstairs and adding a larger G Scale Section upstairs

We have just purchased all of the stock from Hendford Halt in Yeovil.
This includes Hornby, Peco, Bachmann, Scalextric, Mamod & and a very large quantity of second hand goods (Its amazing what you can collect in thirty years and fit in a end of terrace shop)
Over the next month we will be adding the stock to the shop as we sort through it.
We wish Peter a happy retirement.

We are often told by customers what a pleasant change it is to find laughter and 2 ladies serving them.
Unlike some Model Shops that feel like a library, at buffers there is always laughter in air (well unless the girls have run out of coffee).
We have many customers who travel many miles to experience the unique ambience of Buffers.
A warm welcome and a cuppa will greet you as you walk through the door.
Buffers has grown over the last couple of years. Customers say it’s like their extended family here.
If Maria or Lynne are stuck for an answer they will ask customers in the shop for help, which leads to much hilarity and a great happy atmosphere.
Customer 60 (I know, but we had to have a system to keep track of you all!) said. last time he was in: “ Whenever I feel a bit down, a trip to Buffers lifts my spirits and I go home with a smile on my face…” Both of us, being mothers, know you shouldn't’t have favourites but…Mr. 60! ....x

Pre-owned
We have a large selection of pre-owned items in very good condition.
These items are offered to customers who visit the shop, and will not appear on the website, please contact us if there is a particular item you are looking for.
