This typical design of barn will fit well into any rural scene. You can really give a farm scene some character. Barns have many uses, often for storing harvested crops, such as hay or straw, or for housing animals. Modern farms tend to have metal clad barns and grain silos of considerable size, but many older barns remain in service performing new functions such as providing shelter for machinery.
